Did you know one of the many ways Youth Homes serves the foster youth in our care is by ensuring they make it to all of their appointed destinations safely and on time? If you are a parent or guardian, then you realize in order to accomplish this mission, vehicles must be in tip top condition - and have room to spare!

Youth Homes is no different and with funds raised during the 2013 Gala, two beautiful vehicles for our Cherry Lane and Pryor Center residential facilities were skillfully negotiated and purchased.

It is important to us that our supporters know they are making a difference in the lives of the foster youth we serve and that every penny raised for our agency is handled with the utmost care.

Youth Homes would like to thank all of those that came out and participated in the East Bay Shelter Open House event held on Friday, May 2nd.

The morning started with a fabulous spread of snacks and coffee beautifully arranged for our welcomed guests. Many new introductions were made. Shortly after coffee, Stuart McCullough our Executive Director introduced himself and gave

a brief oral history of the property and residential services provided.

Felicia Martin was introduced as the Residential Supervisor and gave a tour of the home and grounds.  Let's not forget the fabulous gardens! Bill Durken, Youth Homes' resident horticultural specialist, explained the timeline of the organic gardens and familiarized our guests with the Summer Garden Program
installed in the summer of 2011.

Youth Homes would like to say thank you to all those that came out and supported this wonderful community event.

We were pleased to see so many members of the community who care about what is happening around them!
