 | Save Your Businesses Reputation and Profits |
Pre-employment background checks(investigations) are virtually required in today's business climate and post-employment updates are essential to sound business practices. Arkansas Investigations can help you protect your businesses' reputation and profits by conducting pre and post-employment investigations for you. Through our work with a host of government agencies (NSA, Defense Intelligence Agency, CIA, and many others) we have honed our skills and instincts. We are experienced and we know what we are doing.
Case Study
A local business owner found what he thought was an excellent candidate for his office manager position. The office manager has direct access to incoming cash and deposits, and based on the candidate's sterling resume, the owner was convinced that she was the right person for the job. At that point he hired us to investigate and clarify the damage he believed stemmed from this candidate's business practices in her position as office manager. Too little too late! When we investigated her background we found eleven outstanding warrants in another state for fraud. We're not in the fortune telling business, but it's safe to say that if our client had done his due diligence and hired us to conduct a pre-employment background check... he probably wouldn't have hired this candidate. Sometime later we received notice that the business owner had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, finding that the losses were too great to recover from.
Now more than ever, business owners scrutinize every expenditure. You cannot afford to think of professional pre-employment investigations as luxuries. They are necessities. We have worked on cases where conducting a background investigation would have saved companies $300,000 to $400,000 in addition to the immeasurable costs of lost customer confidence.
Our background investigations are very detailed and are designed to uncover the most basic details of someone's life. We give you the information you need to make fundamental business decisions about who to trust in your entry-level, mid-level and senior-level positions.
What about post-employment investigations? Think of it this way: When you buy milk do you use it without thinking until it's gone? Not likely. Most of us pay attention to the "sell by" and expiration dates, and when we've had the milk a while we take a quick sniff before pouring it onto our cereal. Why?... Read more

The Benefits of Due Diligence for New Business Transactions
|
If a complete stranger knocked on your office door and asked for a job, I'm sure you would say "no." So would I. What if the stranger produced a stellar resume, solid references, and had personal relationships with some of your employees? I'm not sure what you would say, but I would still say no, or at most, "We'll see." Why? Because I know the value of due diligence. Arkansas Investigations has extensive experience conducting a variety of types of background investigations, ranging from high-level government security clearances to high-profile and sensitive positions in the business community. It is because of this experience that I say, "Before conducting any new business transactions, you should always conduct a due diligence investigation."
Our background investigations give you the ability to know all about your potential partner before you invest in a new business venture, finalize a franchise, form a partnership or hire new consultants. You can have the assurance that details are as they have been presented and people are who they seem to be, because we confirm what you know and find out things you haven't been told.
Case Study
One of our clients is a prominent local law firm who represents both local and out-of-town clients. While considering investing in a business in another state, our client developed concerns about the validity of the business venture and the sources of the capital contributions by the other principals. Our mission: find out how much money the other principals had access to and verify their business credentials. Our initial investigation identified only traces of limited funds in the United States. However, we know enough to dig deep, and we have the tools to do it. Using our international contacts and resources, we were able to determine that the future partners indeed had substantial resources in overseas holdings and had acceptable experience in the business in question. Result: our client is reportedly engaged in a successful enterprise.
Due diligence is especially important when the potential relationship or transaction has distinct financial implications, such as buying ... Read More
