Hey Folks!
|
What a wonderful Thanksgiving! We were at my in-laws with a total of 17 people enjoying themselves, eating turkey, watching family videos, reminiscing, and smiling. I hope whatever you did last week was wonderful!
I, personally, am very thankful for you, my readers, customers and clients, and social changers. We are working to make change in ourselves, our students, our children, in the expectation that brains will improve and life will be easier.
I have an article for you on anxiety. It is pervasive in our society and it seems to be worse during the holidays. lease enjoy it and feel free to pass it along!
Enjoy the holiday season. I am now, ever since I eliminated my anxiety!!!
Sincerely, Kathy |

Holiday Anxiety
Thanksgiving is over; Christmas is on the way. For my family, this is part of how we celebrate this time of year. Add to that, there are 4 out of 5 birthdays in that time frame! And who do you think is responsible for making sure each celebration comes off without a hitch? Yup me! So when it comes to holiday anxiety, I know what I'm talking about!
I used to be riddled with it. It controlled me. I was constantly "stressed out". The holidays were something to get through, and I didn't enjoy them the way I had when I was a kid.
It was no fun to constantly be in "Fight or flight"; to always have that feeling in your gut, to be on edge. Today I feel relaxed, able to meet deadlines without fretting, and to be able to speak my mind when necessary. To be successful in business as well as life, it takes a calm soul.
One last story, though, that came in the form of an email:
"My wife recently took your seminar in Dyslexia,
etc. in Syracuse. I am an A type personality (and a lawyer to boot) and suffer from persistent stress. She tested me for primitive reflexes and found that I have retained reflexes and started me on "integrating the MORO reflex" by using your prescribed exercise
techniques (Starfish Module). While she expected
that this exercise would take time to take effect, I had an almost immediate (2 hours later) response and I clearly don't seem to be in a constant stress mode and feel much more relaxed. I am doing the
exercise every day and my pulse seems to be staying at my normal relaxed pulse of about 60 and I feel great!
I guess that I will stay on the exercise routine for life since I am presently 65.
It's a miracle!!!!!!!!"
There are downloads that are particularly based on Anxiety which can be found on the following website: http://store.payloadz.com/results/results.aspx?m=252892 These are on sale this month and are usually $19.95 each. But through the month of November you can get each for $16.97. They should be done in the following order: - Hypersensitive and Anxiety - for light sensitivity and peripheral vision
- Organization and Time Management - for Convergence
- ADD/ADHD, Memory and Bed-wetting - for near-point acuity
- Dyslexia and Dysgraphia - for tracking and convergence
- Vision, Coordination and Attention - for tracking, convergence, and near-point acuity

I ran across this article and couldn't resist
Separation Anxiety in Cats
Causes of Separation Anxiety
Cats who were orphaned may be more prone to separation anxiety. Too-early weaning may also be a factor. It's my opinion that how you've set up your cat's environment plays a role as well. If your cat has no other activities and ways to build confidence without being attached to you at the hip, then that increases the chance of separation anxiety. I believe many cat parents also reinforce the separation anxiety by rewarding the cat for clingy, needy behavior.
Your cat may go along just fine and have no problem with you coming and going on a daily basis but then something, such as a change in work schedule, a vacation, a divorce, etc, could trigger separation anxiety.
Signs of Separation Anxiety in Cats
When the cat parent leaves, the cat may exhibit excessive meowing. Elimination outside of the litter box may also occur. The cat may urinate or defecate on the cat parent's bed or on clothing belonging to that human family member. It's easy to misread this behavior as one of spite but it's really a way for kitty to self-soothe by mixing his scent with yours. It's also a way that the cat attempts to help you "find" your way home. Think of it as the feline version of dropping bread crumbs along the path.
Other signs may include excessive self-grooming, eating too fast or not eating at all when the cat parent isn't present.
