Jay Blackington - Global Human Resources Executive
 
Jay was most recently the Senior VP, Human Resources of Avid Corporation. Avid is the world's leading provider of audio and video technology for media organizations and independent professionals. He held responsibility for the global human resources organization and team that included talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, HRIS, training and development, and employee communications. Jay consulted with the Chairman & CEO, and the Executive Leadership Team to align the business and talent strategy to accelerated growth and enhanced financial performance.
 
Prior to Avid, Jay was Vice President of Human Resources at EMC Corporation. EMC is the world's leading information infrastructure technology and solutions organization that enables organizations to maximize their I.T. cloud infrastructure and enterprise data needs. In 2014, the company had revenues of approximately $25 billion and approximately 50,000 employees located across the globe.
 
Jay has held several senior human resources roles, including partnering with the worldwide sales organization, the RSA security business and providing leadership to EMC's Centers of Excellence, I.T., and Corporate consulting organizations. The Centers of Excellence are located in India, China, Russia, Israel, Egypt, Ireland, and the United States. The Centers have grown by more than 15,000 employees. His responsibilities included building HR organizations for new Centers of Excellence in emerging market countries, developing strategies to deliver world-class talent, and preparing and executing critical HR strategies to enable business success.
 
Prior to his role at EMC, Jay has been a global leader living and working internationally at top multi-national corporations including Honeywell, ITT Sheraton, Monsanto, First Data, and the State Street Corporation. As a Senior Vice President at State Street, Jay was a leader in the Strategic Development Office. In this role, he was a member of a team charged with the strategic redesign of company key assets with the goal of increasing operational capacity, productivity, and enhancing the company's financial performance.
 
Jay holds a degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Massachusetts, and a Master's degree in Management from Lesley College in Boston. Jay has also completed the Advanced Human Resources Executive Program at the University of Michigan.
