Hello fellow road safety professionals,
I hope everyone enjoyed a safe and prosperous summer. We, as driving school educators and like-minded professionals are dedicated to the common goal of highway safety. As today's leaders, it is our responsibility to uphold the professional ethics and high standards in Driver Education & Traffic Safety established by those who preceded us, and furthermore, to aspire to even higher standards which can be carried on by those who follow. As present day leaders, it is now time to concentrate our efforts in moving our industry forward.
The Driving School Association of the Americas and the driver education community has the full support of NHTSA.
The State of Delaware has completed a State Driver Education Assessment and I was very excited to be part of the assessment team. Previous assessments for Maryland, Oregon and Vermont are posted on the NHTSA website. I suggest that you take time to read an assessment to better understand the National Standards.
In August the DSAA Summer Seminar and Board Meeting was held in Atlantic City. The attendees also enjoyed the boardwalk and casinos and the Bruce Springsteen tribute band. Our conference included a full day of speakers along with useful information to help improve our services. Thank you again to all the speakers and volunteers to make the day a huge success. Thank you again to all the speakers and volunteers who made the seminar such a success.
