 INTERNATIONAL NIGHT THIS FRIDAY!!
Mark your calendar for this Friday, March 11 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm for International Night! This fun and tasty event celebrates the wide array of cultures represented at Chesterbrook.
More than twenty countries will be exhibiting. There will be bite sized portions of delicious food and fun facts about each country.

It's not too late to join the PTA! Anyone who is registered for the current school year from May 1, 2015 until March 11, 2016 will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card to Rio Grande in Arlington or a $50 gift card to True Food Kitchen in the Mosaic District in Fairfax.
All registrations must be received by Friday, March 11th at noon.  Guest Speaker: Internet Safety Be sure to join us this Wednesday, March 9th at 9:00 am for our PTA Meeting and Principal's Coffee. The PTA is excited to have Common Sense Media- certified digital educator Mariam Suqi from the FCPS Office of Student Wellnes and Safety join us. This for-adults-only presentation will hit on topics including: - Internet Permanence
- Loss of Control
- Sharing Too Much
- Online Predators
- Cyberbullying
- Sexting
- Recruitment and Trafficking
- Current trends in social media and social media app

 Summer Quest - Registration Underway!
Summer Quest, sponsored by the Chesterbrook PTA, provides fun, educational sessions for your elementary school child over four (4) one-week sessions each summer, with morning and afternoon sessions and an after-camp program. The sessions are primarily taught by Chesterbrook Elementary teachers. Camps will run in week-long sessions July 11 - August 5 with classes for rising kindergartners through rising 7th graders.  Spring Before/After School Class Registration Spring is March-ing in and so are the spring session enrichment classes. Click here to read more about the offerings. You won't want to miss Art Brains, Chess Club, Fitness Warriors, Flag Football, Girls on the Run, Zumba and the following from the Computer & Coding Club: Electronics, Java Programming, and Intro to Computer Science & Programming. Friends of Chesterbrook
Your donations help support the following PTA programs: - Student Support including updated technology (iPads and laptops), STEM programs, grade-wide grants (GRECO/Colonial Days, Science Fair), field trips, as well as PE, art and music equipment.
- School Support including staff development, teacher stipends, classroom materials (WordMasters, etc.), media center support, and capital expenditures (new common area furniture and whiteboards).
- Enrichment Programs including cultural arts and science appreciation assemblies, family fun events such as The Brain Show, health and wellness programs, International Night and the Discovery Gardens.
