Please join us this Saturday, February 27th from 10-2 at Chesterbrook School for Fun Fair! So many people have worked so hard to make this day happen. Many thanks to the Fun Fair committee which has spent so much time planning this wonderful community event and PTA fundraiser. Thanks to the entire Chesterbrook community for their support.

It is a great guide for first time Fun Fair attendees or those of us who have been coming for years.
  
  
Raffle Ticket EXTRA Sale Day Friday, February 26th!
  
Not able to attend Fun Fair? Busy volunteering the day of Fun Fair? Don't want to miss out on class basket raffle or teacher raffle tickets? Then stop by our raffle ticket extra sale day on Friday, February 26th from 9AM until 4PM. Ticket sales will be located outside of the library. Cash and Checks are acceptable forms of payment for raffle tickets. If you send in money with your children, please make sure to email their teachers so they can get the money to us. We will happily help your children fill out the raffle tickets. Of course, all raffles will be on sale the day of Fun Fair too.

It's not too late to join the PTA!  Anyone who is registered for the current school year from May 1, 2015 until March 11, 2016 will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card to Rio Grande in Arlington or a $50 gift card to True Food Kitchen in the Mosaic District in Fairfax. 

All registrations must be received by Friday, March 11th at noon.  The drawing will be held Monday, March 14th at 10:00 am, so check your emails that morning!

GOTR Spring 2016 Session Registration Open
 
Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a program that combines training for a 5k (3.1 mile) running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts.
 
Registration for the 2016 Spring Session is open now through February 29th, with late registration available from March 2 -18. The Spring Session runs March 8 - May 19, with practices held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 pm.

REACH Volunteers Needed
 
Looking for an easy way to volunteer in the classroom? REACH (Resource Enrichment At CHesterbrook) is a program that allows students to do a short activity or game with a small group of their peers and a parent volunteer that augments their classroom curriculum. Sessions are short and fun! No experience is necessary. Volunteer today!

Your donations help support the following PTA programs:
  • Student Support including updated technology (iPads and laptops), STEM programs, grade-wide grants (GRECO/Colonial Days, Science Fair), field trips, as well as PE, art and music equipment.
  • School Support including staff development, teacher stipends, classroom materials (WordMasters, etc.), media center support, and capital expenditures (new common area furniture and whiteboards).
  • Enrichment Programs including cultural arts and science appreciation assemblies, family fun events such as The Brain Show, health and wellness programs, International Night and the Discovery Gardens.
