PTA Meeting - Meet the New Officers

Walk to School Day Walk/Bike to School Day

Join the Chesterbrook Elementary School Community as we dedicate a day to walking or biking to school with our children  Wednesday, May 6th. An adult chaperone must accompany kids to keep them safe on their route to school. Bikers should park bikes at the rack near the kiss and ride loop, if possible.

Safety Tips:
Always Wear A Helmet
Check Your ABC's: Air Pressure, Brakes, & Chain
Ride With An Adult
Use Proper Turning Signals
Be Careful Near Cars

*Please note that regular school policies will be in force that day. This means that school doors will not open until 8:20 am so it is imperative that students not be left without supervision by their parents.
Spring Book Fair is This Week - April 27th-30th

The Spring Book Fair started Monday, April 27, and will go through Thursday, April 30. As always, there are hundreds of books for all ages covering all genres and will include classics, favorite series, award winners and new releases. There are also be a wide assortment of games and other items. It's the perfect place to do some summer break shopping! We need volunteers. The Book Fair doesn't happen without them. Please consider taking a shift.

Students completed wish lists during their class preview times on April 24 and April 27. The lists include each book's cost (there's no tax) so parents can send their child in with a check payable to Chesterbrook PTA. The children can also come any time during the school hours to shop for books on their own or they can come by with a parent.

Please note that there will be no backorders of books during the Spring Book Fair so come shop early for the best selection!

School Kits for 2015-16 School Year

The PTA strives to make ordering school kits an easy process for parents ensuring that students arrive at the start of school with the necessary supplies waiting for them at their desks. Look for supply kit information in the coming weeks in your Thursday folder. School kits will be on sale soon through Innisbrook, the same company we used last year. We have worked with teachers to develop supply kit contents with the specific items they feel each student needs for a successful year and this year's supply kits will contain the same quality items as we have had in the past. New this year, the supply kits include the quick word books for 2nd graders, two recorders for 3rd graders, and a customized assignment notebook for grades 3rd-6th. Supply kits will be delivered directly to your child's classroom prior to the start of school.
