FUN FAIR 2015: The FORMULA FOR FUN Is Only 4 Days Away!!!

Volunteers Still Needed!!!
Saturday, March 14 from 10:00 am-2:00 pm!!!

Get ready for the most fun event of the year at Chesterbrook! This year's Fun Fair is all about THE FORMULA FOR FUN which begins with the Chesterbrook community. All the favorites will be back like the sweet (formerly cupcake) walk, moon bounces, guesstimates, lollipop tree, lots of fun games, teacher raffles, basket raffles, and a few new surprises too. So, come join us for this wonderful community FUNraiser as well as a FUNDraiser for Chesterbrook. All funds raised support a variety of programs sponsored by the PTA.

Didn't Get A Chance To Purchase Game Tickets During the Pre-Sale?

Don't worry! Tickets will be available at the door. They are 50 cents each and you can use tickets for all the games, moon bounces, and food items. Most games/moon bounces are 2-3 tickets each, while food and bake sale items range from 2-12 tickets. Tickets are NOT accepted as payment for any of the raffles. Acceptable forms of payment for game/food tickets and raffle tickets are cash and checks.

Things To Do Before Fun Fair:

1. Volunteer for Fun Fair (Adults and Middle/High Schoolers)

This event is the most fun day of the year for the kids and is a wonderful community event for all. It does take many volunteers to make this happen. We never want to cancel part of it due to lack of volunteers. Please consider volunteering for a shift or two. We especially need volunteers to help out with games and moon bounces (great for dads!) It is also a wonderful opportunity for those with other commitments during the week to volunteer on a Saturday. There is an opportunity for everyone, including middle and high school students who would like to volunteer to earn community service hours. Please sign up early to be able to work with a friend or get your first choice.

Before- and After-School Spring Classes: Lottery Dates and Registration

Spring has sprung, at least for the PTA's before- and after-school enrichment program!

NEW
: To ensure all have an equal opportunity to register for a class, lotteries will be used for classes where past registrations have exceeded availability.

Classes using the lottery will be noted on the website and sign-up for them will not be first-come, first-served. Rather, parents may log on ANYTIME beginning Tuesday, March 17, at 7:00 pm through Friday, March 20, at 9:00 pm to register for the lottery. There is no need to rush, as all who log on during that window will have an equal chance at a spot in a class. No payment will be taken during this time.

On Saturday, March 21, numbers will be drawn by an automatic generator for each course. Parents of students who are selected will be notified via email and will have 48 hours to make payment. Should payment not be made, the space will go to the next randomly chosen student and so on until all spaces are filled.

Because parents will have four days to register for the lottery, we expect a smoother process with fewer technical difficulties. The parent volunteers who manage our website, manage the registration process, and manage these classes work hard to ensure a good experience for all of our Chesterbrook families.

Please contact afterschool@chesterbrookpta.org with any questions or concerns.

This year we are working with Square One Art to turn your children's' masterpieces into magnets, t-shirts, ornaments, and other wonderful keepsakes. Catalogues filled with great ideas and products for you to purchase will come home soon. These make great gifts for family and friends. This is an opportunity for you to celebrate your child's achievement and support your school at the same time!
