While the "dog days of summer" are upon us, we are keeping cool at AA Lock & Key! We have included a video about the recent installation of the ADA EZ Automatic Door Opener that we installed at the AHEPA 110 III complex in Norwich. Check it out! We were happy to see the residents be able to use it with such ease!
We are also very excited that Dan is now a full-fledged licensed State of Connecticut Locksmith! Dan has worked with extreme enthusiasm and has picked up the necessary skills to be able to send him on many work requests without Dave's assistance. We are very happy to have him as a member of our security specialists team!

Garage Security
Garages present special challenges for security. Here are some tips for keeping your garage secure.
* If you frost or cover your garage windows, burglars won't be able to tell if your car is gone.
* Keep your garage door closed and locked even when your car is not in the garage.
* Install deadbolts on any exterior entry doors, as well as the door from the garage into the house.
* Install a peephole in the door separating the house from the garage. If you hear suspicious sounds, you can check without opening the door.
* Are you worried about someone entering your house through your attached garage? If the garage door lifts on a track, a C-clamp can provide extra security since the door cannot be opened if you tighten the C-clamp on the track next to the roller.

Here in New England we have high humidity in the summertime. Place a container of DampRid or similar moisture absorber in your safe. This will help keep the humidity levels in check and protect your valuables.
