| | Greetings!
As leaders in the field of security our ongoing quest is to keep you, our clients, updated on the newest in technology, for your physical security and that of your building. As we contemplate what has transpired in the world as of late, specifically the Boston Marathon bombing, we can only imagine how frightening it must be to be told to "Shelter in Place" and lock all the doors and not answer the door. Knowing some individuals do not lock or have proper locking devices on their homes, is beyond our comprehension. We have advised in the past and advise again, if you have locks, lock them. If you don't have locks or they are not working, call us! If you have an alarm, use it! We have also included some quick personal safety tips below. They are easy ones!
The power of social media is truly amazing! How did AA Lock & Key, Inc. help? Read on to find out! Our Lock Tech, Dan Holdridge, has been working 3 days a week and will be coming on full time for the summer. Dan has exceptional mechanical abilities and is always thinking! Dan is a breath of fresh air here at AA Lock & Key! Our office renovations are coming along nicely! We have removed 2 dumpsters of "stuff" and 2 small trailer loads of metal from our building to be recycled. We also put several fairly useful "free" items by the roadside and all were taken. See the photos of how we are coming along with Phase I.

Security Tip
During a recent safety course that Dave, Deb and Dan took, one of the most significant tips we took away was so simple: **Keep with you a very bright flashlight and, if at night, you fear someone is in your home or building, shine the light on the individual...as it will startle the intruder. This gives you time to react to the situation. ** Another tip is to keep your car keys with you and push the alarm button if you think someone is around your home. **Having your cell phone near is also a good idea for quick communications in an emergency.

Contribution To The Community
While at work in the office, Deb saw on Facebook that Ledyard Animal Control had two escape artists of the furry kind....we sprang into action, knowing we had a device that could help to solve the problem. Within a couple of hours, Dave & Dan installed the device and we made a monetary donation as well to the fence fund! We were honored to help our dedicated friends at the Ledyard Animal Control! The Ledyard Patch even wrote an article on it! Read it here!
