Greetings!

We are excited about new changes at AA Lock & Key, Inc.!  We are in the process of expanding our offices to make us more efficient so we can meet all your security needs. We will be making changes in phases over the next few months.  Stop in and take a look as we move forward to a bright future and fabulous 2013.  See some of the photos of before shots.  More to follow soon!

We are proud to announce we were awarded a contract bid with the Griswold Public School system to install intruder function locks at the High School and Middle School.  This will allow teachers to lock their individual locks from inside the classroom.  Dave's knowledge and security expertise have made AA Lock & Key, Inc. the leader in providing this technology to improve safety in our schools. We have also been highly involved with the Montville Public School system and several area school districts with similar security issues.

We hope you had a chance to see our recent newsletter with security tips that can be utilized by anyone in any type of cold weather to save you time and frustration. If you missed it, click here...Blizzard/Cold Weather Security Tips.

We would also like to share some testimonials with you as proof of our hard work and dedication to assisting our clients with security issues.

Your lock mechanisms have taken a beating during the last few weeks. You can take a simple step to help alleviate moisture buildup in your locks by spraying a moisture displacing lubricant in the lock cylinders to avoid frozen locks tomorrow.  We recommend GT-85, but if you do not have this product, any good quality silicone or teflon based lubricant should help.

This tip can also be used on your vehicle door locks, to help alleviate a lot of frustration for you.

Be sure there is no salt, sand or debris underneath or inside your door frames on your building or home, as this can cause the door not to shut completely.
Should your lock be frozen, try holding the key with a pair of pliers (be careful not to burn yourself) and heat the key with a hair dryer or lighter and then insert the heated tip of the key in the lock.  If you have an automotive key with a plastic head or computer chip, heating is probably not a good idea.

We hope the lubrication mentioned above will eliminate the need to try the heating methods.
