This summer promises to be a lively season at Spirit of Christ!  Each month there will be a celebration marking the 40th anniversary of this special community that we call our parish home.  Two of the celebrations are family-friendly and one is adult-focused.  In case you haven't yet marked down the dates, the celebrations are:

Saturday, June 7th  Pentecost-the feast day of Spirit of Christ!!

4:00 p.m. - Pentecost Vigil Mass

6:00 p.m. - Spaghetti Dinner in the Spirit Center (tickets needed)

7:45 p.m. - Concert with Grayson Warren Brown

Plan to come and spend the evening celebrating the gift of God's Pentecost Spirit to the Church both large and small! If you can't attend the Vigil Mass and don't have tickets for the dinner, be sure to attend the concert, it will be great!!

Friday, July 18th  Live the Legacy - Tapas and Libations

7:00 p.m. - Bring an appetizer to share.  Brews and vino will be supplied as we celebrate the past, enjoy the present and, most importantly, look to the future of Spirit of Christ.  This will be an evening for all adult community members filled with stories, song, and friends. (Gen X and Millennials especially welcomed!!) 

Sunday, August 24th  Parish Picnic

A fun afternoon for the whole parish family.  Small Church Communities will have a tent.  Be sure to stop by!!

Our shared journey as God's people at Spirit of Christ began forty years ago.  That journey continues in the present and is being dreamed for the future.  How we act and what we offer of ourselves to make God's love and compassion more visible in our world weaves that future reality.  As we live and pray, struggle and laugh our way on the journey, isn't it great that we have one another as traveling companions?
