Alternate ROOTS is now calling for a limited number of proposals for Learning Exchanges that are inspired by this year's theme, Call to Action: Aesthetics. In the spirit of moving from theory to practice and from principles to action, we are inviting artists and practitioners to submit proposals for dynamic Learning Exchanges that focus on capacity building and/or artistic skill building. Sessions should connect to at least one of the Resources for Social Change Principles of Community Engagement.

Deadline for applications is 4/28.  Read more here.

Performances

This year's theme of AESTHETICS is the launch of our Call to Action -  three-year initiative where we are investigating our work as artists and cultural organizers. We are looking for performances that help us understand the arc of arts, community and activism through the lens of aesthetics. Aesthetics is a complicated term in our organization and in our field. As one of the principles of Resources for Social Change, it has taken on several variations within Alternate ROOTS - Aesthetics of Transparent Processes, Aesthetics of Diversity, Aesthetics of Beauty and Justice.

Share your performance art with us! ROOTS Week is a low-tech conference environment situated on the beautiful grounds of the Lutheridge Conference Center

Deadline for applications is 4/28. Read more here.
