It's amazing to see the Our Children, Our Future campaign in action.

We start by listening to the ideas that people have to address the real, everyday challenges for children and families in West Virginia.

Then we figure out how those ideas translate into new policies for the state legislature.

Then we build a campaign and try and get those policies passed.

Over the past 3 years this simple process of real democracy in action has made a huge impact, with 18 new policies passed to help make this state a safer, healthier and more prosperous place to raise a family.

This month, you have a chance to be a part of it. We hope you seize that opportunity.

Huntington Event Takes Aim at Child Poverty in WV
The Our Children, Our Future campaign is inspired by the notion that the WV State Legislature should pass policies that protect and support West Virginia's children and families.

It's grassroots democracy at its finest - policies by the people, for the people.

On Aug. 11 the campaign rolls into Huntington, and we are looking for passionate, engaged locals to join us and get involved.
