Focus Agriculture Graduates
A ceremony and reception was held at the Pajaro Valley Historical Association's Bockius-Orr house on Beach Street in Watsonville for Class XXIII of the Focus Agriculture program. Focus Agriculture, a program of the organization Agri-Culture is a "first-in-the-nation" program that allows community leaders to learn firsthand about agriculture in Santa Cruz County and the Pajaro Valley.
Farm Bureau Receives State Awards
The Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau has been informed that it will receive five "Activities of Excellence" awards at the California Farm Bureau 94th Annual Meeting. The awards are for Membership, Policy Implementation, Leadership, Ag Education and Public Relations. The county will also receive a President's Award for Leadership. A local delegation of nine will be attending the California Farm Bureau Federation's 94th Annual Meeting in Pasadena, California, December 1-5.
