Greetings!
In late February our GO team took a break from work and spent 16 hours over two days training on organizing procedures, systems for paper management, product building, customer service skills, expanding product knowledge, and more. As you can see below, our first training day was one of the famous snow days in Dallas. While our training was important, we also carved out a little team-building time over lunch at the Cotton Patch Restaurant. As our team walked into the restaurant wearing our GO t-shirts, we looked like a force to be reckoned with, spreading the word to Get Organized! In March, IKEA hosted me at an in-store workshop on organizing household papers and organizing closets. We gave away one of my favorite IKEA products, the Expedite, along with many other IKEA products. I will be doing my next workshop at IKEA in September with a Back-to School theme.
I am excited and honored to be asked to contribute my organizing knowledge to a blogger for D Magazine and to Martha Stewart Magazine for an interview about being a contributor to an article in their April edition.
Keep checking our email blasts and newsletters for updates on these opportunities from two esteemed publications.
Finally, you will see below that Get Organized! is expanding our reach to include North Richland Hills and surrounding areas. Alyson Voyles will become an Affiliate at the end of March and will be taking on clients in April. We are pleased to bring our services to this part of Texas.
It is such a joy to wake up each day to see what great things the Lord has in store for GO. I feel blessed among women to be given so many opportunities. Thanks to our readers for opening up our newsletter each month. We know that our words and experiences are reaching those who are interested in a more peaceful and organized life. |

Steve is dynamic and entertaining, and this may become a fun event for your family! You will enjoy a fine dinner and experience what it meant for the disciples to eat together the night before Jesus' crucifixion. |

Organizing Your Small Space
Do you struggle with the constant clutter on your nightstand?
Having the things you need right at your fingertips, while not having all of these items out in open view, can be achieved with these helpful hints.
- Look for a multipurpose lamp.
- A six section acrylic organizer might be nice for those smaller items such as ear plugs.
- These baskets on a shelf or cabinet below could work for the book you are reading, a Bible, or a journal that you write in daily.
- This bedside storage bag is another option to house multiple items such as pens, sticky notes, a nighttime mask, etc.
- This case could also house medications such as cough drops, nighttime pills, or sleep aids. A water bottle or flashlight with extra batteries could be stored in a bedside storage organizer as well.
- Here is a caddy for the TV remote or other necessary items such as lip balm or lotion.
- Here is an organizer for your headphones, to keep the cord from being damaged while allowing for minimal storage space. Don't forget to choose a small music device for such an occasion.
- This small sewing/ first aid kit could be very handy also.
Have fun choosing your products, make sure they match your decor, and watch for sales while out shopping. An organized nightstand will help you sleep well and wake up to calm instead of chaos.

We had a winner for our
Get Organized! Training Day
|
We called for entries from our fans including their organizing dilemmas and photos of their spaces. A winner was carefully selected for a free day of organizing services. The package included a free consultation, all the shopping for the necessary organizing tools, and a full day of organizing by our entire GO Team. Imagine nine organizers turning your home upside down and then putting it back together better than ever. part wonderful and part crazy!
Here is what our recipient had to say about her experience:
I have had a chance to recover from the flurry of activity you and your crew brought into my home; I have 'pondered' all the progress Get Organized!
has helped my family achieve in such a short period.
On the day of the consultation, I felt as if I was one of your organizers. The classroom-like setting at the beginning of the consult gave me the opportunity to be the fly on the wall, so to speak. The discussion points and topics you covered with your staff were thorough and thought provoking. It is plain to see you demand a lot from those that work for and with you. From the gathering out in front of my house to discuss the day's game plan all the way until the walk-through of the areas we selected to address, the professionalism I saw was comforting.
Dorrie and Sarah worked very well together. Their tackling of the game room, with very little space to begin, was awesome. The furniture selection they made, though at first I was not too sure about it, is a great addition to the storage of huge amounts of Lego toys. Both women were calm and professional in the way they asked questions on Thursday and they got right into cleaning and organizing the room. Their approach to sorting all the items they uncovered, from games and books to toys and artwork was thoughtful and respectful; there was no indiscriminate purging of things.
Tracee and Melissa's work in the living room proved to be quite the challenge. The amount of paperwork that you eliminated from the containers was overwhelming. Not having gotten into many of the containers for quite some time, I guess I had forgotten what was in them. The filing system you recommended and started setting up for me is still in process, and is top on my list to finish. My biggest fear with paperwork is to need something and either be unable to find it or not know if it was thrown away. Now, with a more precise system of filing, I should be able to put everything away that is worth keeping.
Stacy and Karla had the task of going through a large variety of different aspects of our life, all in one room. The constraints put upon them (not being able to move the treadmill and other furniture out of the bedroom) did not seem to slow them down.
Since you were here, the family and I spent a Saturday cleaning out the center area of our garage, we had St. Vincent de Paul come and pick up all the donations that made it to the dining room, and I was able to host my Bunco group and brag about winning an organizing day with Get Organized!. I am doing something every day, big or little, to further the progress you and your crew began.
