The first section of the SAT requires your student to write an essay responding to a prompt in only 25 minutes.
Many students don't realize that they can -- and should --prepare for the essay ahead of time to help ensure a high score. This preparation includes having a formula for the essay organization and analyzing examples they can use to support their position, whatever the essay topic turns out to be.
