Please Read IMPORTANT INFORMATION about Senior Pet Safety Net pets:

The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home.  This is  a service offered by HWAH to help  senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program. If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents.  Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life.  They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

HWAH truly believes:  "Saving one dog might not change the world.  But, surely for that one dog the world will change forever."

Max:  22 Pounds Of Miscellaneous Dog
If you had to guess, what kind of dog do you think Max is?

A little of this, mixed with some of that?  We're not exactly sure.  But the combination is adorable!

We are revisiting Max, who along with his owner have been living part of the time in Puerto Rico, and part-time in Savage, Maryland.  When his owner rescued Max as a stray, he'd been deprived of both food and water, and was carrying heartworms.  Now he's thriving!  He's a likable, playful fellow, well housebroken, who tended to get excitable around other dogs -- until the vet recommended he be neutered.  That's all taken care of.

Max's owner already has the maximum number of dogs allowed where she lives, so she's putting the word out wherever she can, in both Maryland and Puerto Rico, to find him a forever home of his own.  Please help by sharing Max's story!

MAX
Breed:  Mix
Age:  About 10
Gender:  Male (recently neutered)
