Anyone Adopting Or Thinking Of Abandoning A Pet Should See This Video!

At House with a Heart, we say love them for a lifetime!  When you take on a pet you're adding a new member of the family.  This video says it better than we can!  Pets are for life -- yours AND theirs!

Please Read IMPORTANT INFORMATION about Senior Pet Safety Net pets:

The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home.  This is  a service offered by HWAH to help  senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program. If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents.  Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life.  They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

HWAH truly believes:  "Saving one dog might not change the world.  But, surely for that one dog the world will change forever."

This Oreo Is Filled With Fun!
Oreo is a Domestic Shorthair who's perfect in every way, from her tuxedo markings to her healthy, energetic attitude!  Now 12 years old, she's been with her current owner since she was a kitten at the SPCA shelter.  If she's not being petted, she might be looking for pile of laundry to lounge in.

Living in Montgomery Village, Maryland, she's adapted well to other dogs -- preferably not too hyper.  (She's never lived with another cat before.)  She'll drink from the sink if you let her, and she's perfect with the litter box.  About the only grooming she needs is brushing every few days, to avoid hairballs.

Although Oreo is good with kids, there is now a newborn in the house who has been diagnosed with a serious allergy problem and that means Oreo has to be confined away from the family.  It's not fair to her -- so we're hoping to find this beautiful cat a comfortable new forever home, soon!  Please help by sharing Oreo's story!
