Please Read IMPORTANT INFORMATION about Senior Pet Safety Net pets:

The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home.  This is  a service offered by HWAH to help  senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program. If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents.  Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life.  They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

HWAH truly believes:  "Saving one dog might not change the world.  But, surely for that one dog the world will change forever."

Seeking A New Castle For Princess

From Dundalk, Maryland, here's Princess.  She's 24 pounds of royalty -- a blue blooded mix of Terrier with some Chihuahua thrown in.

She's a satisfied 15 year old who is still playful and loves to go for walks on or off a leash. Whether it's a ride in the car or a nap in the sun, Princess is up for it.

Princess may not see quite as well as she used to, and like most royalty, she'll get startled and upset if you don't announce yourself, before you pet her.  But she's in good health otherwise, quite affectionate, thrilled to greet you when you get home and well-housebroken.  She's been good with older kids, and she's good with cats, as long as she doesn't have to cuddle with them.

A change in family situation has forced Princess' owner to move out of state and her new home will not allow pets.   Time is short -- please help spread the word and get our royal Princess a new forever castle!
