We Invite You To Join Us
In Remembrance

Since House with a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary opened its door in 2006, we have loved and cared for 69 beautiful souls who are now living young healthy, and free over the Rainbow Bridge.

We think of them.  We mourn them. We will always remember them.

While our hearts break at the loss of so many of our dear residents, we find comfort in the knowledge that our mission has, and will continue to be fulfilled.  We've vowed to "love them for the rest of their lives," and that's exactly what we do.

On Monday, June 1st, we will begin to return their ashes to the Sanctuary grounds.

Please join us to celebrate their lives by spending time in remembrance of those departed residents - those who were with us for longer than we could have imagined and those who touched our hearts in a tragically short time.

No need to rearrange your schedules. You will be able to participate whenever you normally visit.

We invite you to honor these pets any time you are at the Sanctuary.  View our Stairway to Heaven portrait gallery.  Stop at our Memorial Table in the Kitchen area - there you will find cards with verses and remembrance poems that you can use when you distribute ashes in any of our garden areas.  Spend a few moments in personal reflection or with one of the poems or remembrances that are available.   Share your memories with others who loved these precious beings.

For many of you, this may be an undertaking that is too difficult and painful to join.  We certainly understand. But we would be remiss in not giving those of you who wish to participate, the opportunity to do so.  After all, you are all an integral part of the family known as House with a Heart.

We also invite everyone to join us in lighting one or several candles any Monday night at 10pm EST to honor and recognize all the pets we have lost.  Click here for more information.

Thank you,

Sher, Harriette, and Jacquie
