Please Read IMPORTANT INFORMATION about Senior Pet Safety Net pets:

The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home.  This is  a service offered by HWAH to help  senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program. If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents.  Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life.  They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

HWAH truly believes:  "Saving one dog might not change the world.  But, surely for that one dog the world will change forever."

Get A Load Of Buster's Smile!
We can tell that Buster's happy to be here, by the expression on his face!  Rescued about ten years ago, he and his owners currently live in Annandale, VA.

Buster is an affable, laid-back Beagle who seems to rub everyone the right way. (Except cats.)  He's healthy, other than a little arthritis.  He takes Dasuquin for that.  He enjoys his walks and a little play time now and then.  He's perfectly housebroken, and he craves attention.

What he doesn't like is being alone or confined for extended periods.  If he can come in or out of the house whenever he likes, he's great.  A house with a doggy door and a back yard would be ideal.  He's been on Prozac and that helps.

But Buster's owners are facing a move to a home out of state where it will be difficult to accommodate Buster's confinement and separation issues.  They'd like to find him a home with either room to roam, constant companionship, or both!  Help us help Buster find his new happy place -- and keep him smiling!
