Please Read IMPORTANT INFORMATION about Senior Pet Safety Net pets:

The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home.  This is  a service offered by HWAH to help  senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program. If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents.  Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life.  They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

HWAH truly believes:  "Saving one dog might not change the world.  But, surely for that one dog the world will change forever."

This Budweiser's For You -
But Hurry!
NOTE:  We're resending Budweiser to correct his contact email address.

Budweiser appears to be made of the best parts of Beagle and Basset, rolled into one adorable package.

It's hard to imagine this beautiful dog is a stray, who wound up at the Gloucester, Virginia animal shelter. He is totally laid back and lovable. He came in with Lyme disease, for which he's being treated.

Otherwise, he seems perfectly healthy.  It's hard to tell whether he's housebroken although he knows exactly what to do when he's taken out of the shelter for a walk.  And he gets along great with every human and pet he meets.

Older pets like Budweiser never seem to get an even break at the shelter -- and the clock is ticking on this poor guy.  He needs to be adopted immediately.  If you or someone you know would welcome Bud home for good, please contact the shelter right away!

Princess:
About To Be Foreclosed
This little lab mix is Princess. At age 16 she's growing old gracefully.  She's been a healthy, active family dog in Columbia, Maryland all her life. She's still healthy but taking things a little easier these days.  Princess likes her walks but she's just as happy curled up on the couch and enjoying your company.  She's well-housebroken and gets along
fine with other dogs, cats and kids.

Princess' owner is now forced to move due to a foreclosure.  The only place her owner could find is a rented room, where dogs aren't allowed.  Shelters won't take Princess due to her age.  Time is running out and there aren't many options left -- so please share this posting about Princess and help us find her a forever home!
