Please Read IMPORTANT INFORMATION about Senior Pet Safety Net pets:

The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home.  This is  a service offered by HWAH to help  senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program. If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents.  Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life.  They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

HWAH truly believes:  "Saving one dog might not change the world.  But, surely for that one dog the world will change forever."

Ralphie & Prince - Neglected No
More, Now They Need Homes
RALPH
Here are two amazing poodles, Ralphie and Prince.  It's sad to think that both of these dogs have been neglected. Both of them are alive and doing very well in a foster home, thanks to an amazing rescue, For The Love Of Poodles & Pooches, in Richmond.  We want to help them find forever homes for these two sweeties!

Ralph was abandoned and wound up at a kill shelter.  He was one big matted mess before he got rescued, groomed and cleaned up as you see him here.
RALPH
He lost both his eyesight and hearing due to neglect, but he gets around great, by himself or on a leash.  He even goes to the door and barks when it's time to go outside!  His medical is all done, including dental.  He'll go in the crate but he much prefers a nice soft dog bed.  He's cuddly with humans and will get along fine with other dogs and cats.

Prince has also been through a lot -- he is blind and had to have
PRINCE
one eye removed due to infection.  But he is now fully vetted, including dental, and is doing well.  He also doesn't hear so well, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying trips out in the yard.  He'll also let you know when it's time to go outside, but if you have steps he'll need help.  Prince is good on the leash, but not good in a crate -- his favorite place to sleep is in a laundry basket, with his toys.  Awww.  He'll also get along just fine with other dogs and cats.

Ralph and Prince can be adopted together or separately.  With all they've been through, they were blessed to have been rescued. Please share their story and let's get them into permanent, forever homes, soon!

PRINCE:  8 to 10 year old, neutered male Toy Poodle

RALPH:  8 to 10 year old, neutered male Miniature Poodle

Both fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, not on medication; both are blind but get around well.  Need not be adopted together.
