The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home. This is a service offered by HWAH to help senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program.

If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents. Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life. They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

The Month - Needs Foster

Here's Grey, a beautiful, petite shorthaired female who has a warm place to stay - for the moment.

Her owner has been laid off and may lose her apartment in Rockville, MD at the end of the month. So Grey will be facing a bad situation unless a foster home can be found for her.

Our Grey lady is well-balanced, mature, playful at times but nearly always ready to curl up again (as you can see). She'll be on the couch or in bed with you if you let her. She's lived most of her life with another cat and she's great with kids as well. She enjoys the outdoors but has thrived as a mostly-indoor cat the last five years. Grey is healthy, affectionate, good with the litter box.

It would be a shame to see Grey end up in a shelter. Please share her story and help her start the New Year in a happy, secure foster home!
