The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home. This is a service offered by HWAH to help senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program.

If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents. Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life. They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

Treat Yourself To Trixie

Trixie is a terrific ten year old Tabby who has been at loose ends ever since her owner passed away last April.

Trixie herself is a perfectly sweet and happy cat who gets along great with dogs and children. She'll come around and snuggle, and curl up on your lap if you let her. She craves attention and affection, is good with the littler box and is in excellent health.

The problem is, when Trixie's owner passed away, the owner's daughter-in-law in Ellicott City, Maryland tried to put Trixie in with the two cats she already had -- and those two cats just do not get along with Trixie. In order to keep peace in the family, Trixie has to spend much of her time alone, separated from the family in an in-law apartment.

Trixie deserves a fresh start and a warm lap to curl up on! Please share Trixie's story and help us find her a new home.
