The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home. This is a service offered by HWAH to help senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program.

If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents. Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life. They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

Bella: Ready For The Dog

Days Of Summer

We've all been anxious for summer. That includes our friend Bella. She loves nothing better than to lie in the sun on a warm afternoon. But she's equally happy to snuggle under the covers in bed. Bella is snuggled in bed every night with a toddler! She's just a sweet, loving dog.

At age 13 Bella's perfectly housebroken and in great health aside from a bit of arthritis. She's happy and friendly with cats and kids, and generally good with other dogs, although she can be a little territorial when it comes to dog food or bones.

There's one problem -- a family member has developed an allergy to Bella. They've tried everything without success -- medicines, hair cuts, air purifiers, removing the carpet, etc.

Bella's owners in Frederick, MD are determined to find Bella a new forever home to snuggle into. Yours?
