Please Read IMPORTANT INFORMATION about Senior Pet Safety Net pets:

The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home.  This is  a service offered by HWAH to help  senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program.

If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents.  Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life.  They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

HWAH truly believes:

"Saving one dog might not change the world.
But, surely for that one dog the world will change forever."

Urgently Seeking Someone
To Rescue Little Curry -
Deadline 11am Thursday
Please share the following... A good friend sent us the announcement from the BARCS Animal Shelter in Baltimore, about little Curry.  We are spreading the word, hoping that another rescue or an individual will step forward and rescue him.  Here is his story:

Curry was found as a stray and needs a quiet place to spend his Golden Years in comfort and love. He is non weight bearing on his right hind leg and has bilateral ruptured cruciates. From the x-rays, the vet thinks Curry has been living this way for quite some time. Left untreated, Curry now has severe arthritis in his knees. He has also has dental disease, a grade 2/6 systolic heart murmur, and corneal scars causing vision impairment.

While this is a tall order for any group, BARCS hopes that someone will open their heart to Curry, even if for hospice.

Due to his medical needs, Curry will need rescue by the end of his stray hold at 11 AM on Thursday 5/1.
