Irie: A Good American
Cocker Spaniel
There are English Cocker Spaniels, and there are American Cocker Spaniels. Our boy Irie is an American Cocker, 12 years old, just slightly arthritic but still happy and active.
From what we have read, the American Cockers are less inclined toward hunting than their English counterparts. But they still need exercise every day. Irie looks forward to getting out for a walk down the street, or a run outside in the yard. But mostly he's an inside dog, well-housebroken, ready to make friends with your kids and your other dogs, beg for a belly rub or just curl up and snooze.
Irie has been living in a house in North Laurel, Maryland with a full-time professionial working couple, and a mother-in-law. The mother-in-law has recently left, and without her around there is often no one to care for Irie. So we're seeking a new forever home for this good American Cocker Spaniel.
