The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home.  This is  a service offered by HWAH to help  senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program.

If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents.  Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life.  They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

HWAH truly believes:

"Saving one dog might not change the world.
But, surely for that one dog the world will change forever."

Tigger:  Loves Tuna &
Dogs, In That Order
Tigger is a cat who seems to adapt to just about anything. She's a shorthair with a sixth sense who can detect a can of tuna before it's half open.  She's also very social with the house dog, a Golden Retriever who is five times Tigger's size.

Tigger has spent most of her life with an older woman in a small two bedroom apartment, so she could be perfectly happy in tight quarters.  She's excellent with the litter box and as bright, lovable and snuggly as can be.

Recently, her owner had to leave in order to enter an assisted living home.  A granddaughter in Howard County, Maryland has taken Tigger in temporarily.  Unfortunately, the granddaughter has a kitten who is unhappy with Tigger in the house. So Tigger has to hide out in a guest room most of the time.

At age 11, Tigger's in the prime of her life -- in perfect health, mellow and affectionate.  Can someone give her a new forever home and some new friends to snuggle with?
