Please Read IMPORTANT INFORMATION about Senior Pet Safety Net pets:

The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home.  This is  a service offered by HWAH to help  senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program.

If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents.  Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life.  They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

HWAH truly believes:

"Saving one dog might not change the world.
But, surely for that one dog the world will change forever."

Brenda:
Ready For Springtime
& A Second Chance
Winter has been especially cold in Hopkins, Minnesota.  That's where poor Brenda here lost her lifelong owner/companion, who has just passed away.

No relative came forward to adopt her, and she would've been put down if her next door neighbor hadn't come to the rescue.  But Brenda's rescuer has two dogs of his own, so little Brenda is in need of a permanent new home.

14 years old, she has lost some vision to cataracts and much of her hearing.  But she's in great health, full of energy and enthusiasm.  She'll  become your constant companion around the house, or on walks through the neighborhood.  She doesn't always warn you when it's time to go outside, but she's perfectly diaper-trained and will go outside when you take her.  At night she's happy to curl up in her little crate, and when it's dinner time she'll treat you to her happy dance!  She's spent much of her life with other dogs, cats and kids around the house, and she's perfectly happy with everyone.

Brenda is looking forward to the warmth of spring and a happy summertime.  But she'll need someone to step forward and offer her a happy-ever-after home soon.
