Please Read IMPORTANT INFORMATION about Senior Pet Safety Net pets:

The Senior Pet Safety Net Email is a COURTESY POSTING for senior or special needs dogs or cats who need a home.  This is  a service offered by HWAH to help  senior dogs or cats in need when HWAH is not able to accept them into the HWAH program.

If you have questions about, or an interest in, the featured pet, please contact the person indicated in the Safety Net email.

Safety Net Pets are not HWAH Residents.  Once a Pet becomes a HWAH Resident, our commitment is that they will remain at HWAH for their entire life.  They will not be put up for adoption.

As always we are grateful for your support and your assistance in helping these pets in need by sharing their plight with anyone you feel might be interested.

HWAH truly believes:

"Saving one dog might not change the world.
But, surely for that one dog the world will change forever."

A Hunting We Will Go...
For A New Home!
Here we have a Beagle and a Foxhound, Gillian and Cooper.  They've been together all their lives.. and we're hoping they can stay together!

Cooper is the Beagle, and Gillian is the Foxhound.  They're perfectly social, get along well with other dogs, cats and kids.  And they love to cuddle with each other!  Cooper is the playful type -- loves to be groomed!  Gillian is the mothering type, always paying attention to what Cooper is up to.  Both are sweet, affectionate, lovable dogs -- crate trained, ready to go.  Gillian has been diagnosed with urinary incontinence, but she's being effectively treated with Proin, and both she and Cooper are well-housebroken and otherwise healthy!

Gillian & Cooper's owner and her two children, a 2 year old and a 4 month old, were forced out of their home in Clarksville, Maryland.  Unfortunately their new home will not allow them to take dogs.  The dogs are living temporarily with the owner's father.  The owner has put both dogs on a wellness program and will maintain it to care for the health of the dogs, in their new home.  Together forever, we hope!
