PAULA'S PERSPECTIVE
The Pace of Life
"More often than not, we have to slow our thinking and feeling and seeing and hearing until they are open to each other."
Mark Nepo, The Exquisite Risk
Many of us have become aware of the gift of being in the moment. We might remind ourselves and others about how important it is to live in the moment...it is all we really have. No promises about the future and no changing the past. All of life happens in the moment. Remembering to pause and consider this wisdom influences our experience of life.
If we want to experience the richness of the moment, it is necessary to continue beyond the pause of recognition. If we want to experience the fullness of the moment we should string a few of these pauses together...a few breaths to slow it all down. From this place the real noticing and the real living begins. We might notice our body...where it is relaxed and where it is holding tension. We might notice our thoughts...if they are coming from love or from fear. We might notice the myriad shades of green in just one glance out the window. We might feel from our intuition a rising up of a new idea. We might know from our heart that regardless of what is happening in the world right now we have all that we need.
Living in the now moment is more than just acknowledging that it is so. Living in the moment requires that we throttle back and gear down. When we do this, we bring the full awareness of our entire self right here, right now. It is impossible to pull the richness and fullness from life if we live at a pace that makes it all a blur.
Our reward? We can experience some of the greatest gifts of life...connection, gratitude, peace, wonder, appreciation, hope and possibility.
Peace always

SURRENDER
Whatever happens will happen because it must. Our task is to enjoy our life more and to express what is inside us to bring about the new humanity. If we have hate inside us, we share hate. If we have sadness, we share sadness. We can only share happiness when we are happy. We cannot share love unless we love ourselves first.

FEATURE
THE FULLNESS OF LIFE
You know that Life cannot withhold Itself from you. All that Life is and has is fully given to you to enjoy. The Life of God is perfect and eternal. It is the essence of everything that is. Life is God's gift to you. It is always ready to manifest Itself through you in Its entire fullness.
You are a self-choosing mind in a Divinity which permeates everything. You are always in the midst of Life; a Life that lives eternally and lives through you now. Therefore, you need not be disturbed by the passage of time, the movement around you, nor the variations of experience through which you go.
There is something within you that remains unmovable, that always speaks directly to you, saying, "Be still, and know that I am God..."
Ernest Holmes
