PAULA'S PERSPECTIVES
I am excited about the journey we are beginning. It is a path that we have been walking all of our lives...and now in this precious moment we get to walk along together. I hope that you all feel a renewed sense of possibility and a confidence in a greater power to guide us along the way.
And so it is.
Peace always.

USLC TREASURE MAP!
LAST CALL FOR IDEAS- Submit by Sun. Aug. 28! We need the visions and goals of all USLC members and guests. Share any images :-), concepts (e.g. hundreds of members) or words (love, peace, etc. especially words that start with U, S, L, or C) that best represent what you want to see in USLC's future in the way that is easiest for you- via e-mail to reallyveryhappy@gmail.com, snail mail to USLC, or in person at USLC (you can give them to Carla Garcia or Robin Johnson or place them in the Creativity & Play Ministry box in the hospitality area).
Let's see the brilliant future of USLC!
September 11 - World Day of Prayer Service at 7pm.
We will light candles, set a sacred intention, pray and meditate.
During the service we will create a sacred altar. You are invited to
bring one item (which will be returned to you) to place on the altar that
holds a spiritual significance for you - a photo, statue, feather, stone -
anything that you acknowledge as representing spirit. The altar will stay in place until our closing service on Thursday evening at the end of our
prayer vigil.
September 12 - All day World Day of Prayer Vigil from 7am-7pm. Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday we will hold a 12 hour prayer vigil in the USLC sanctuary. Plan to stop by for 30 minutes, an hour or more during the day to pray, meditate and to hold sacred space for peace, wholeness and abundance. At 7:00 p.m. we will close our vigil with praise and thanksgiving for all that is happening as a result of our faith and commitment. All items placed on the altar can be picked up at the close of this service - any items not picked up then will be held in the office for you to claim at a future date.
September 15 - Pot Luck Luncheon to welcome our new minister, Paula Zabkar, MS, LUT. Sign up at the back of the sanctuary or email Carla at cagnc@msn.com
September 22 - After the Service, there will be a meeting with Paula for anyone interested in sponsoring a home book-study group. Curious? Come to the meeting and find out what this is all about. The home study will correlate with the Sunday talk series based on The Four Agreements. Please sign up in the back of the sanctuary so we can have books available in the bookstore.
September 29 - A home book-study using the book The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz will begin the week of the 29th. Sunday talk series on September 29 and October 6, 13, and 20 will be about these agreements.
September 29 - After the service, there will be a meeting of all who are interested in serving in our Youth Education Ministry. More details later.
SPIRITUAL ECONOMICS: On Tuesday's from 7-8:30pm, October 8-November 19, a 7 week class based on the book Spiritual Economics by Eric Butterworth will meet in the USLC sanctuary. WOW! | |
"God is not a being with qualities or attributes. God is good itself coming into expression as life, love, power, and wisdom. We are not just acted upon by God, we are the activity of God expressing through us."

Greetings my Unity Family, I am writing to share some exciting news. I have been accepted into a 10 month program to receive my certification as a Spiritual Life Coach. It is through the Institute for Spiritual Development founded by Iyanla Vanzant. Unfortunately, financial aid is not available and I am in need of support in order to meet this financial obligation. I have created an account on Go Fund Me to campaign for scholarship funds. Take a look at the link below and support my cause if you can.

FEATURE
*METAPHYSICAL BEATITUDES
from the Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5:3-11
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
*Blessed are those who lack narcissistic pride, who are teachable, who are open and receptive to eternal truths, who are humble; it is from that level of consciousness that they shall expand their understanding so they can fulfill their divine potential.
Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.
*Blessed are those who yearn for a closer relationship with their Christ Self, for they are guaranteed unlimited opportunities for soul growth.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
*Blessed are those who are nonresistant, who are unrestrained in their receptivity to their divinity, for they shall inherit a waking consciousness grounded in Truth principles.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
*Blessed are those who dedicate themselves to "right thinking," for they shall unfold into their Christ potential.
Blessed are merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
*Blessed are those who give unconditional love, for they shall receive unconditional love.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
*Blessed are those who see things from a Christ perspective, for they shall comprehend their Oneness with God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
*Blessed are those who, through service to others, work conscientiously to find inner peace in God's will, for they shall actualize their Christ potential.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
*Blessed are those who do not allow temptations to deter them from right thinking, for they shall honor their divinity.
Blessed are ye when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice and be exceeding glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
*Blessed are those who press on, who do not allow the inertia of past programming and embedded theology to dampen their spirituality. Their devotion to right thinking will pay off.
Rev. Drs. Bil and Cher Holton
