Yemaja Jubilee Speaks
Yemaja Jubilee is a movement and motivational specialist. She utilizes her experiences of being 238lbs, combined with past unhealthy relationship patterns with self and others, to offer a way to emerge and evolve into a holistic and joy-filled way of living. Yemaja is a prayer Chaplin at Unity of Richmond. She has served as Platform Assistant and performed original poetry in several worship services. Her book of poems,
I Said I Wasn't Going to Tell Nobody, But I Couldn't Keep It to Myself, detailing her past struggles with codependency, self identity, and self worth, will be published in the fall 2013. Yemaja lives in Richmond, VA, where she loves to take long walks in the parks to keep fit, playfully commune with nature, and gain inspiration for her writings.
TRUTH TALK: Living on a GOOD VIBRATION
Where do you live? Do you like where you live? Are you ready to move? Most of us are not aware that we can move to a higher plane of living. We are so caught up in day to day living that we sometimes forget WE create our living environments. We complain and fail to recognize that Life is lived from the inside out. Please wear your sunglasses "cause we will be cool yet sizzling" so we can change our vibrations.
SPECIAL MUSIC: Gregory Blaine
Gregory started playing guitar @ age 10 and is primarily self taught but learned by watching other players. Charlie Walton a guitarist for a local group called "The Blue Mooners" was his biggest early influence. A small transistor radio was his window to the world of rock, blues, reggae, soul, and country musics. Over the years, along with lessons here and there, he followed the works of many players from Andre Segovia to Earl Klugh. These days he focuses on playing solo or duet but his first love is his big band ROOTZIE. He also uses Native American Flute, Dijeridoo, and Latin Percussion o further speak for me spiritually and musically.

MOVING ONWARD AND UPWARD!!
Our long wait is over!! Your Board of Trustees met with Paula Zabkar today. Negotiations are complete and the contract, as amended, has been approved. The contract will be revised, as agreed, and sent to Paula for final approval. She will attend the August Board meeting and officially sign it at that time. Paula will officially begin as our new Spiritual Leader on September 9th, with her first Sunday Service on September 15. This is definitely a time for celebration! The Board now eagerly embraces plans for a "welcome" reception, celebrating our new and bright future with Paula leading the way.
The Board wishes to express its gratitude for those who assisted in the search pocess and, also, to everyone for your patience as we travelled this road together...a door is closing and a new one is opening.

USLC Treasure Map!

Following in the vein of Catherine Ponder's treasure mapping, help us celebrate the treasures of USLC and visualize the bountiful prosperity yet to come. In lieu of an actual event on the first Friday in August, the Creativity & Play Ministry director, Robin Johnson, will be creating a collage Treasure Map for USLC.In order to do this, she needs the visions and goals of all USLC members and friends. Share any words (e.g. love, peace), images :-), or concepts (e.g. hundreds of members) that best represent what you want to see in USLC's future in the way that is easiest for you...via e-mail to
reallyveryhappy@gmail.com, snail mail to USLC, or in person at USLC (you can give them to Carla Garcia or Robin Johnson or pla
ce them in the Creativity & Play Ministry box in the hospitality area).
Due to the large number of ideas expected, limit submissions to 3-5 per person (extra items will be considered if space is available).
Submit your treasures no later than Sunday, August 4
Let's create the brilliant future of USLC!

WOW!
| |
As we leave old circumstances, beliefs, habits, and desire behind, and seek to understand, to enter into, and get the blessings out of the larger life which is ever opening to us, we are filled with a sense of peace, freedom, and assurance that all is well. We should then turn our attention within and devote ourselves to those thoughts and acts which make for poise, order, health, and success.

I have created an account on Go Fund Me to campaign for scholarship funds. Take a look at the link below and support my cause if you can. www.gofundme.com/LifeCoachScholarship

WE ARE THE WORLD
By Robert Brumet
We are one in Spirit but it seems that as human beings we are very separate. This is not so. We are not as separate as we might think. As human beings, we are very much interdependent. We are much more intimate with one another than we might realize.
From birth to death we are dependent upon others. From the time the first humans walked on this planet, the family, the tribe, and the community have been necessary to sustain human life. Today our community includes virtually everyone on Earth; this is certainly evident in the arena of economics and commerce.
As I have my breakfast of fruit, cereal, and coffee, I consider the people from many countries who are part of my morning's breakfast: the farmers in the United States who grew the grain, the workers on the coffee plantations in South America and the banana plantations in Central America, the dockworkers, the railroaders, the truckers, the distributors, the grocers, and many others are all part of my morning breakfast.
As I go to my closet to get dressed, I find shirts and trousers made in 24 different countries. My watch, my computer, and my automobile were all made in other countries. The food we eat, the clothing we wear, the cars we drive, and the gadgets we operate are produced from virtually everywhere on Earth.
We are finding-slowly and painfully-that our fates as humans are tied to the fates of virtually every other species on this planet. They are tied as well to the delicate balance of the ecosystems by which our lives are sustained. The destruction of a forest thousands of miles from where we live can affect the very air we breathe. The pollution from cars and factories on the other side of the planet can impact our local weather for long periods. ...
Deepak Chopra tells us that we are constantly sharing the atoms of our bodies with one another. Based on calculations derived from radioisotope studies, we know that with every breath you exhale, you disburse one hundred billion trillion atoms that were once part of every organ of your body. From these same studies we know that in the past three weeks one thousand trillion atoms have passed through your body that have been a part of the body of every other living being on this planet. And at the present time, your body contains about one million atoms that were at one time a part of the body of Jesus of Nazareth. ...
Unity cofounder Charles Fillmore recognized the existence of a "race consciousness" that psychically impacts each of us. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin hypothesized the existence of a "noosphere," a psychic envelope surrounding the Earth and as real as the biosphere and the hydrosphere. Peter Russell suggests that a "global brain" is developing from our interconnectedness. Perhaps the Internet is one manifestation of this global brain or noosphere.
Physically, mentally, spiritually, we are intimately connected with one another. We are not as separate as we may think. We cannot become whole in isolation because, in reality, isolation does not exist.
