Rev. Bob Trowbridge Speaks
Bob Trowbridge graduated from San Francisco Theological Seminary and was ordained as a Presbyterian Minister. His ongoing spiritual seeking led him to leave the ministry about four years later. Since that time, he has studied many spiritual systems and is a perpetual spiritual seeker. H has been teacher, speaker, workshop leader, and spiritual counselor for over 44 years. His book, The Hidden Meaning of Illness: Disease as a Symbol & Metaphor, was published by the Association of Research and Enlightenment Press. He is currently editor for Southern Lights, the newsletter for the Southeast Region of the A.R.E. and he has written for Venture Inward, Magical Blend, Body, Mind, and Spirit, and many other publications.
Truth Talk: "Life from the Inside Out"
Physical life is very real. Sometimes it's too real. Spiritually speaking, there is more of us on the inside than on the outside. It is what is inside of us that creates what is outside. How do we access the spiritual self within?

MOVING ONWARD AND UPWARD!!
Our long wait is over!! Your Board of Trustees met with Paula Zabkar today. Negotiations are complete and the contract, as amended, has been approved. The contract will be revised, as agreed, and sent to Paula for final approval. She will attend the August Board meeting and officially sign it at that time. Paula will officially begin as our new Spiritual Leader on September 9th, with her first Sunday Service on September 15. This is definitely a time for celebration! The Board now eagerly embraces plans for a "welcome" reception, celebrating our new and bright future with Paula leading the way.
The Board wishes to express its gratitude for those who assisted in the search pocess and, also, to everyone for your patience as we travelled this road together...a door is closing and a new one is opening.
And so it is! | | |

MAINTENANCE NEED
There are a number of lights out at the Center. We have the bulbs, but we need someone with a ladder and florescent light fixture expertise to take a look and replace the burned out elements. | | |

Excerpt from
Swimming in the Deep End: Merging with the River
by Douglas Kraft
Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, "Learn to detect and watch that gleam of light which flashes across [the] mind from within..." Pay attention to small glimpses of light, the touch of peace, the unbidden smile of delight, the glimpse of the river, the presence of the ocean.
When the worth and dignity of our individuality meets the interdependent web, our sense of who we are as separate entities becomes less demanding and more spacious. And the web of life feels less abstract or impersonal and more intimate.
And if we patiently follow Mr. Emerson's advice, with time we feel less like a whirlpool in the river and more like a river with whirlpools. We shift from seeing peace to being peace, experiencing illumination to being luminous, from experencing spaciousness to being space.
ATTENTION: Have you written an article about livi ng the Unity life, have tips on how to demonstrate Unity's 5 Truth Principles, or had an experience illustrating Unity beliefs, please submit it for the newsletter:
