Through the Education Passport

The American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) considers education to be part of our central mission. We seek to create a core body of knowledge using the CTBS Exam Prep Course and to identify pathways to apply it.

The Education Passport contains all available continuing education and is the centerpiece of our educational offerings. Within the Passport, continuing education modules provide opportunities for in-depth learning about specific topics, such as Donor Risk Assessment Interview (DRAI), Effective Staff Training, Environmental Monitoring, Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA) and the Impact of Tissue on Regenerative Medicine.

Each module contains an audio lecture on the topic, accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation that automatically advances as the lecture progresses. The online courses are eligible for continuing education credits by taking a short quiz following the presentation. Following completion of a quiz, a CEU certificate can be generated with the click of a button.  More detailed information about CEUs is available for each course within the Education Passport.
