Welcome to the Volunteer E-Update; your monthly update on activities for the CERT, RACES and Fire Corps programs.
This Month...

June 1 and 15, 2013 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Training will take place at Oak Canyon Nature Center. *This class is full and has an extensive waiting list.*

June 22-23, 2013 (CANCELLED)
The decision by the RACES members was made at the last RACES meeting to cancel Anaheim's Field Day event this year.  You are encouraged to seek out and visit other groups Field Day events throughout the region.

July 4, 2013 Happy 4th of July!  City offices are closed today.

July 13, 2013 (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
CERT and RACES Quarterly Meeting.  We will host a training for Map Your Neighborhood, neighborhood outreach and growing your neighborhood team.

RACES Meeting
The RACES group has elected to host monthly meetings to cover training topics, sub-committee assignments and social gatherings.

City Manager Wingenroth retires

Fire Chief Randy Bruegman presented City Manager Bob Wingenroth with a chief helmet commemorating his time in service to Anaheim and leadership. 
Wilderness & Remote First Aid

Planning an outdoor trip and supplies 
Students from Anaheim and other county CMAP programs participated in the first of two classes on Saturday, June 1 for Wilderness and Remote First Aid.  Students are learning additional first aid skills and care for victims when help is not available or significantly delayed.
