Keynote Speaker at VIAA AGM & Innovation Forum


Colonel Tom Dunne, 19 Wing Commander, will be providing the keynote address during the Vancouver Island Aerospace Association AGM & Innovation Forum in August.

Col Dunne commanded 424 (Transport and Rescue) Squadron from August 2008 until May 2010. This posting was followed up with command of the Theatre Support Element, Camp Mirage from June to November 2010. As the final Commanding Officer of Camp Mirage, Col Dunne received a Chief of the Defence Staff Commendation for successfully closing the camp in less than thirty days.

He has attended the Joint Services Command and Staff College in the United Kingdom, where he also received a Masters of Arts in Defence Studies from Kings College, London. In 2013, he graduated from the National Security Program at the Canadian Forces College in Toronto.


Col Dunne assumed command of 19 Wing Comox on August 6, 2014.
