THE MERCIAN
Summer is almost here and that means time for the Mercian!  What is new with you?  We love hearing your stories about what is new in your life from promotions to babies to travels.  So drop us a line and let us know what you've got going on.  Can't wait to hear from you! Email your updates to buttsk@mercyhigh.org.

NEW ALUMNAE
On Monday, May 23rd we will welcome 96 new alumnae!  The class of 2016 will graduate at the Joslyn Art Museum at
7:00 p.m.  Current alumnae will be onstage to officially recognize this transition.  We are proud to welcome these outstanding young women into the ranks of Mercy alumnae!

ALUMNAE  PROFILES
Our website features articles about our alumnae and how a Mercy education affected their lives.  New items are added periodically.  Take a moment to read them at http://mercyhigh.org/alumnae-features/.

If you would want to be part of this series contact Deborah Daley, Communications Director at daleyd@mercyhigh.org.

PRAYER CIRCLE
You are invited to pray with us for those in the Mercy community, Sisters of Mercy, alumnae, family and friends who are in need of prayers. The Catherine McAuley Prayer Circle meets the second Saturday, September through May, at 9:15 a.m. in the Our Lady of Mercy Chapel.  We are off for the summer but will return and resume on September 10.  The Prayer Circle prays in song, the reading of intentions and the scriptural Rosary. Coffee and conversation follow the service and participants are reminded to use the East parking lot and entrance.

Even though we do not formally meet in the summer, please send us your prayer requests.  We will hold you in our prayers.

If you would like us to pray for a special intention, please contact Naomi Chambers at chambersn@mercyhigh.org or 402.553.9424.

SCHOOL NEWS

Remember your May Crowning!  Students, families, alumnae, faculty, staff and friends joined us for this Mercy tradition on May 9.  Michelle Allen and Hannah Opp were also named Outstanding Seniors at this event.

Spotlighted on the website during the last month were articles on students who received a variety of awards and honors including ones in performing arts, academics, athletics and more.

The Omaha World-Herald also did a front-page story on one of our graduating seniors, Celine Tharuba.  Read more.
