The Power of a Single Question.

Bruce McLeod was being coached when he had a life changing epiphany. I have to say, I'm so glad he did.

Without this revelation, that happened while taking his coaching training at Royal Roads Universitywe probably would have missed the opportunity to work together on the Vision Coaching leadership team and that would have been a shame.

We're honoured to have someone with Bruce's talent helping us manage and grow our coaching services.

Here's Bruce's story...

It wasn't very long after having "arrived"  in the role of my dreams - Global VP of Human Resources - that I started to wonder, "what in the world have I done?" I had determined early on in my career that I was going to one-day hold a seat on a senior executive team.

It seemed an ambitious goal at times, and yet the closer I got and the more realistic it became, the harder I drove. I had finally reached the summit! So what was going on? I had finally achieved this lofty goal but I was miserable.  How come? Had I been wrong all this time? Now what?

We test. We don't guess.

From my interview with Jamie Heffernan published
April 2016 in the Telegraph-Journal.

Cutting-edge technology helps enhance athletes' performance.

Competitive athletes are constantly looking for the edge that can take their game to the next level so when Jamie Heffernan, the owner and operator of JH Sports, introduces them to a cutting-edge technology that can enhance athletic performance he gets their full attention.

Jamie uses 3D motion capture technology to design exercise regimes that increase things such as skating speed and efficiency. But he can help more than hockey players.

His clientele includes golfers, basketball players, runners, Olympic athletes and more.

3 Ways to Stay Fresh...

1. Flo Devellenne's solution was to create a website that would work as a go between for those with empty seats in their car and others looking for rides to the same places. Six years later, HitchPlanet coordinates ride sharing in both the west coast and the Maritimes with plans to further expand. Check out this week's episode to see how a spark in your imagination could evolve into a future opportunity. Listen in to a recent Boiling Point Podcast.

2. The EY Entrepreneur of the Year Gala for the Atlantic Region will happen in Halifax on October 6th.  Attend to celebrate the Atlantic region's brightest entrepreneurial stars. Register today.

3. NBIF's "Breakthru" Startup Competition Goes National. Breakthru starts with a call for proposals in the form of an application, 60-second video pitch, and executive summary. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM, November 15, 2016. Read more.
