A Field of Dreams

On Thursday, April 2, E.L. Haynes broke ground on our new athletic field at 4501 Kansas Avenue NW. This is a thrilling moment for us as it marks the capstone project of our work to upgrade and develop the former Clark Elementary School facility, once again making it a vital space for learning and play in our beloved Ward 4 community. Jennifer C. Niles Reflects on the Past and Future

Jennie Niles, Deputy Mayor for Education and E.L. Haynes Founder and former Head of School, reflects: "Making the decision to leave E.L. Haynes was one of the hardest things I've ever done . . . This decision wasn't about me, but about trying to make a difference for kids across the city, building on the amazing work we've accomplished together at E.L. Haynes."
