Haynes is developing the will, skill, and courage to confront the residual effects of systemic racism and close the achievement gap, download our newsletter.

It's Random Acts of Kindness Week
At E.L. Haynes, kindness is fundamental to our motto, "Be Kind, Work Hard, Get Smart." This week during the Month of Love, teachers and students will celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week in the classroom, from making a card for a favorite teacher to sharing a compliment with a new friend. Get in the spirit and "pay it forward," wherever you are.

Donor Spotlight:
Building Hope
Founded in 2003, Building Hope is a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC, that works to close the educational achievement gap by giving students access to high quality public charter schools. Building Hope has been an invaluable supporter of E.L. Haynes, providing critical expertise and support to our facilities projects, leadership to our Board of Trustees, and support for our annual T2: A Toast to Transformation fundraising event as an event sponsor. Celebrate "The Week of Love" with E.L. Haynes
This February 18-21, the E.L. Haynes Family Team will deck the halls, talk with parents, and lead fun activities to encourage donations to the annual family fundraising campaign. The goals of this year's volunteer-led annual fundraising campaign are 100% family participation and $100,000 raised in support of the much anticipated field renovation at Kansas Avenue.
