The SLC Police Department announced today that so far this year, 64 guns have gone missing from people's cars in SLC; 55 are still unaccounted for. And those are just the reported ones. 

To share info re. stolen/recovered firearms, call 801.799.3000. To send an anonymous tip, text 274637 and start text with keyword TIPSLCPD, followed by a space and the relevant info and/or photos.

This exhibit is dedicated to Margot L. Shott (1931-2015), original curator of the SLCC Historic Fashion Collection. Margo was an avid supporter of the arts ~ Ballet West, Pioneer Theatre, Utah Opera and the Utah Museum of Fine Art. She was the original curator of the UMFA Historic Fashion Collection under Director Frank Sanguinetti.  (Exhibit continues through Nov. 11; Mon-Fri, noon-7pm.)

Presented by the Utah Brewers Guild and the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Fluid Art mashes up some of the best micro brews in the beehive state with the most socially relevant art in UMOCA's current exhibitions. Each brewery is given a piece of art to pair a beer with; the results will entertain and fascinate. Explore fine art and the art of craft brewing from an entirely new angle.

For the past three years, Artes de M�xico en Utah has been providing free community classes on the art and history of Mexico along the Wasatch Front. In partnership with the Consulate of Mexico in Salt Lake City, the 4-year-old nonprofit has launched an ambitious project to spread the appreciation of Mexico, its art, history and cultures throughout Utah.
Tonight is the first of seven free classes taking place between now and Feb. 2016. The classes will cover Mexican history from its ancient civilizations to modern times. Open to people of all ages. Healthy snacks will be provided. (Classes in English; bilingual discussion is welcome.)
