The Nation 150th Anniversary Speaker Series: Katha Pollitt

Topic: Reproductive Rights. Katha Pollitt is well known for her wit and her keen sense of both the ridiculous and the sublime. Her award-winning "Subject to Debate" column appears every other week in The Nation.

An off-leash area in the north side of the park will be available for canine friends to stretch their legs. Vintage hot rods will be shown in the south end of the park. Live bluegrass music will be provided by the Red Desert Ramblers. This is  the last Yappy Hour and Cruise Night event of the year. Enjoy food from the Chow Truck and beverages by Bohemian Brewing Company (ID required), available for purchase on site. Outside food, alcohol and coolers are prohibited. Hosted by SLC Parks & Public Lands.
 
  
9/11 Memorial Concert

Jubilate and the 9/11 Memorial Chorus and Orchestra will present Lauridsen's "Lux Aeterna."  Jubilate hosts this annual memorial concert as a tribute to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Additional works include de Victoria's 1583 "Requiem for Four Voices," Ives' "The Unanswered Question" and Albinoni's "Adagio in G Minor." Admission is a voluntary contribution with a suggested minimum of $5.
