Dear friends and family,
Last Thursday, CATALYST was honored with 15 awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, Utah chapter, Div. B, including 1st and 2nd place in Medical/Science Reporting, Business/ Consumer Reporting and Personality Profiles; 1st place in Education Reporting, General Feature and Best Cover; 2nd place in Arts & Entertain- ment and Best Newspaper; 3rd place for Series and Opinion; and two honorable mentions. Wow. It was an exciting night. Thank you, all!

I'm not sure what to say-the tragedy in Charleston has been discussed extensively and eloquently by many others. It's hard to find words to express the great suffering of that event and all the other tragedies we have endured and are likely to continue to endure until we find a way to heal the hate infecting the hearts of so many...( read more).
