Dear friends and family,

The November issue of CATALYST is here! Click on that lovely owl above left.

I bought 45 lbs. of Green Zebra tomatoes from Cali's Market last week ~ it was an impulse purchase, they were so beautiful, so seductive ~ and now I am roasting them. Considering the boiler went out (what old houses have instead of furnaces), it's a wise move: I can use the oven warmth, what with this temperature plunge. I'd been lulled into believing in the Never-Ending Autumn. But once the basil freezes, which it did this morning, there's no return. Welcome, Winter!
