Dear friends & family,

Today is a big day to exercise your generous heart. Hundreds of nonprofit organizations, from minuscule to major, are participating in today's Love Utah Give Utah event ~ 24 hours of unprecedented online giving. Visit the website, scroll through the lists and click on the groups whose projects are dearest to your heart (your budget determines how much & how many). Direct action: vote with your credit card. It's an exhilarating feeling. To donate, visit:  loveutgiveut.org

Another event today is the 25th anniversary of Wasatch Community Gardens, an organization that has helped thousands of Utahns to garden. Food, friends, stories. It's free (though the beer isn't). 6-9 tonight at the Rico Warehouse, 545 W. 700 South. wasatchgardens.org

Last Saturday, inspired by my own calendar, I went to the Wasatch Contra Dance gathering. What a hoot! It was my first time. Friendly people of all ages, a physical workout, and a lot of laughter: fun when things went well, funny when they got a bit goofed up. I see another Contra dance group is gathering this Saturday.

More events below. Enjoy the week!
