Spotlight on Takoma Park Studio Manager Mike Petillo
 In this year's newsletters, we're featuring profiles of Airshow's engineers and staff. This month we speak with Mike Petillo, studio manager in Takoma Park.
When he came on board at Airshow last year, Mike had been working with musicians at live events and festivals. He's now managing the day-to-day operations at the newly expanded studio, helping make sure clients have an excellent experience working with engineers on their mastering, recording and mixing projects.
Chances are if you've called or come by the Takoma Park studio lately you've already met Mike. When not answering the phones, he's also an electronic musician and DJ. Read more of our conversation with Mike in our spotlight this month.

Anna goes to RockyGrass Academy, and Summer Fun at Planet Bluegrass
Boulder engineer Anna Frick got her induction into RockyGrass Academy at Planet Bluegrass in Lyons, Colorado this summer. Here is what Anna had to say about her experience:
I was very lucky to attend RockyGrass Academy for the first time this year in the lovely town of Lyons, Colorado on the sacred grounds of Planet Bluegrass. For four days I immersed myself in mandolin instruction from none other than the illustrious Frank Solivan and the brilliant Don Julin. I even mustered up the courage to sing. On a stage. In front of people! It was a week of brain-bending learning from amazing musicians, including Yonder Mountain String Band's Allie Kral, and finger-breaking applications that left this budding picker grinning from ear to ear and wishing the week would never end.

Takoma Park's Allyworld Space is Almost Ready - Come to our Opening Party!
Airshow's studio in Takoma Park, Maryland has a new tracking and multi-use performance room called Allyworld, and you're invited to come check it on Saturday, November 7, 2015. More details to come, but for now please save the date!
